Role        :  Sharepoint Architect/Developer Needed ---Sharepoint 2010 Must

Location: BIrmiingham , AL

Duration: 6+ months

 

Sharepoint Architect/Developer  -

 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced developer with a minimum of 5 years experience using Microsoft Technologies. We seek someone with expertise in SharePoint & .NET development skills who will be responsible for developing client facing web sites and applications utilizing Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and third-party products. This candidate must be able to actively participate in the design process, and assist in the overall solution architecture. Architects play a key role in the delivery of the largest, most complex, and most strategic projects for enterprise clients.

 

Minimum Qualifications

* Design, develop and maintain custom components (master pages, user controls, web parts and custom applications) for client portals deployed to SharePoint 2010 for Internet Sites.
* Design solutions that leverage the use of out-of-the-box SharePoint functionality and capabilities.
* Work with Business Analysts to design and develop functionalities that meet business requirements.
* Examine requirements documents and create technical design documents, unit test, system test and implementation plans for small to complex projects.
* Develop project technology strategy by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; preparing time estimates.
* Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business cases, gather and document business and functional objectives.
* Manage departmental relationships by communicating SharePoint architectural standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues.
* Enhance overall team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answer technical and procedural questions for less-experienced team members; teach improved processes; mentor team members.
* Improve information usefulness by tracking emerging SharePoint technologies and techniques; evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.

* Extensive experience developing systems in the ASP.NET framework 2.0 or higher.
* Minimum of 4 years experience with SharePoint working hands-on with the following:

* Installation and configuration (SharePoint administration)
* SharePoint best practices in information taxonomy
* Site template and site definition customization
* SharePoint Designer
* Windows Workflow Foundation
* Content Management
* Custom Web Part development
* Enterprise Search
