Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani
Tonight is a very precious night Laylat ar-Rraghaib, ‘the Sacred Night of Desires’. It is one of the most important nights in Islamic history for all human beings. It is the night that the Prophet ﷺ was transferred from his father to his mother’s womb. It falls on the first Friday of Rajab.
All that you wish for on this night, God gives you for the sake of His beloved Prophet ﷺ. In Islamic countries they celebrate this night with praising of the Prophet ﷺ, remembrance of his life, remembrance of God in their hearts, and visits to mosques, which stay open throughout the night until dawn. They do not sleep.
...
This is a night you have to spend reading the Quran, reciting God’s Names, reciting stories of the Prophet’s ﷺ life, sending him salutations and worshipping your Lord.

The Saint of Rajab
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani
|
The work of prophets and angels stops in the month of Rajab. They are not allowed to know what rewards God is going to give His community. It is in the hands of the Lord, Almighty God. In the following month, Shaban, no one is permitted to know what rewards Prophet will give his Community except the Prophet ﷺ and God. What is accumulated of the rewards in Rajab and Shaban will be written for you and become known to everyone in Ramadan. That is why it is the month of the Community. These three months are therefore very important months in the understanding of the Sufi orders.

Glory be to He Who has enraptured His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque (Mecca) to the Farthest Mosque, whose precincts We have blessed, verily He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. [17:1]

The Prophet's Holy Night Journey & Ascension
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani
Allah said to Gabriel: "Increase the light of the moon with the light of the sun, and increase the light of the stars with the light of the moon." Gabriel asked: "O God, has the Day of resurrection dawned?" God said: "No, but tonight We are calling to Our presence the Prophet, the last Messenger ﷺ who came after Jesus to reveal to him a secret that pertains to Us." Gabriel said: "O God, what is that secret?" God said: "O Gabriel, the secret of kings cannot be given to the servants. Go with My order and don't ask."
