أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم 
 
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ 


Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahiim
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji`uun
 
 
As-salam 'aleikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakutuh,
 
Inna alladhiina amanuu wa `amilu 's-salihaati kaanat lahum jannaatu 'l-firdawsi nuzulan, khalidiina fiiha laa yabghawna `anhaa hiwalla
 
Amados amantes, muriids, discípulos del Sultan al-Awliya, Mawlana Sheij Muhammad Nazim Adil,
 
Dijo el Profeta en un hadith auténtico: "Idhkuruu mahaasin mawtaakum. Hablad de las buenas nuevas de vuestros fallecidos". Por ello, deseamos compartir con vosotros todos los karama [milagros] que nos mostró Mawlana Sheij Nazim tras su fallecimiento:
 
1 - Los doctores se reunieron para tomar una decisión referente a desconectar la máquina de respiración artificial, pero la decisión no estaba en sus manos. Al contrario, Allah swt mostró Su amor hacia Su sincero wali, retirando suavemente su alma antes de que los doctores pudieran intentar tomar una decisión. No hay explicación médica de por qué el corazón de Mawlana Sheij se detuvo y su alma abandonó su cuerpo físico, antes de que se desconectara el respirador. Ello fue un suceso sin precedentes, nunca visto antes por ninguno de esos doctores en su larga carrera médica. De este modo, se demostró que la Voluntad de Allah está por encima de la medicina moderna: Allah (swt) llevó a Mawlana a Su Divina Presencia y a la Presencia del Profeta (s), cuando Él quiso.
 
2- En Chipre, la última vez que llovió en el mes de mayo fue hace 42 años, y casi lo mismo en Oriente Medio. Pero el día del fallecimiento de Mawlana, hubo fuertes truenos y relámpagos, que despertaron a la gente de su sueño. Llovió profusamente, sin cesar, durante dos días. Tras 2 o 3 días de grandes olas, el océano se calmó de repente.  
 
Incluso en La Meca y en Medina, llovía en el momento en que el alma de Mawlana abandonó su cuerpo. Horas más tarde, todos se dieron cuenta de que incluso el cielo lloraba la pérdida del gran santo del mundo. Es una misericordia [rahmah] de Allah, tales lluvias cayeron para mostrar el gran amor de Allah por Su santo.   
 
3- A pesar de los numerosos vuelos que aterrizan a diario en Chipre procedentes del mundo entero, en todos los vuelos había overbooking, no había asientos disponibles, debido a la gran demanda por parte de los estudiantes de Mawlana Sheij, que se dirigían a prestar sus respetos desde todos los lugares del mundo.
 
4- Muchas personas fueron testigos de un asombroso hecho sucedido durante el entierro de Mawlana Sheij en su masjid de Lefke. Los hombres habían cavado una tumba muy grande, de aproximadamente 4 metros [12 pies] de largo. Cuatro personas se situaron en el interior de la tumba, para colocar dentro el santo cuerpo de Mawlana Sheij. Mientras bajaban su amado cuerpo hacia la tumba, este no tenía peso, era como si llevaran una pluma. Al tender su cuerpo, ¡de manera milagrosa su cuerpo se había alargado hasta llenar la tumba, de un extremo a otro! Su cabeza tocaba un extremo y sus pies el otro, siendo la distancia entre ambos de 4 metros. Esto era para mostrar a todos los presentes, que Mawlana heredó de la tradición profética el tener una estatura y tamaño superior al de los seres humanos normales. Nunca nadie vio durante un entierro, que un cuerpo se estirara hasta hacer que su tumba fuera casi insuficiente. Si ampliáramos su tumba hasta los 10 metros, quizá el cuerpo de Mawlana se extendería para llenarla. Ello constituye una tremenda señal de que en verdad era el heredero del Profeta Muhammad (s). 
 
5- Mawlana Sheij Nazim se ganó el amor y respeto de tantos líderes mundiales, familias reales y grandes personalidades, que su casa y masjid estaban llenas de estimados dignatarios. Numerosos periódicos y emisoras de televisión de todo el mundo retransmitieron en directo el entierro de Mawlana Sheij, y hablaron de la grandeza de su vida, [que dedicó a] promover el pluralismo religioso y el respeto, condenando el terrorismo y el extremismo, y tendiendo sus manos hacia los miembros de toda confesión religiosa. Incluso tuvo la oportunidad de abrazar al Papa Benedicto XVI en ocasión de su visita a Chipre en el año 2010. Esta es una importante señal de que Allah le dio honor tanto en el dunya como en el akhira. 
 
A lo largo de su vida, Mawlana Sheij apareció muchas veces en televisiones del mundo entero. Desde su infancia, el camino de Mawlana Sheij fue animar a todos a comunicarse de manera abierta y amistosa con los demás, incluidos los de diferente opinión. Siempre buscó la cooperación, con el objetivo de beneficiar a la humanidad y crear un mundo más pacífico. Antes de abandonar este mundo temporal, sembró en el corazón de sus seguidores, y en el corazón de incontables seres humanos, el amor y compasión que le hicieron famoso, para que pudieran transmitir su legado.
 
Mawlana Sheij fundó incontables centros, en prácticamente cada país del mundo, donde se enseña a ser consciente, terapia por el canto, y otros programas educacionales que promueven la paz, el amor y la felicidad. Rechazó toda forma de extremismo y radicalismo, personificando la enseñanza del Profeta (s): "Nosotros [es decir, los Musulmanes], somos una Nación moderada".
 
Hoy es día de Dhikr, el primer jueves tras el entierro. Por favor, aprovechad esta oportunidad para compartir estos hechos con otras personas, así como otros recuerdos que tengáis de nuestro amado Sheij, en especial con quienes quizá no hayan tenido el placer de conocerle.    
 
También es importante recordar, cuando hagáis dua y Dhikr, el aseguraros de conectar vuestro corazón con aquellos a quienes amáis: Allah swt, Su Profeta (s), Sus Awliya. No escuchéis habladurías, tampoco a la gente que causa confusión, sino centraos en los amados y recordadles.

Dear lovers, followers, mureeds, disciples of Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil,
 
As Prophet said in an authentic hadith, "idhkuroo mahaasin mawtaakum. Mention the good tidings of your deceased" so we wanted to share with you all the karama [e.g. miracles] Mawlana Shaykh Nazim showed us after his passing:
 
1 - When the doctors assembled to decide on removing the mechanical respiration machine, the decision was not left in their hands. Rather Allah swt showed His love to His sincere wali by gently taking his soul before the doctors could attempt to assert their will. There was no medical explanation for why Mawlana Shaykh's heart would stop and his soul would leave his physical body, before the breathing tube was removed. This was an unprecedented event, never before seen by either doctor during their long medical careers.  In this way, Allah´s Will was shown to reign above that of modern medicine - Allah (swt) taking Mawlana to His Divine Presence and the Presence of the Prophet (s) when He willed.
 
2- In Cyprus the last time it rained in May was 42 years ago and similarly in the Middle East.  Yet the day of Mawlana's passing, there was powerful thunder and flashes of lightning that woke people from their sleep. It rained heavily, nonstop, for two days. The ocean, after 2 or 3 days of big waves, became suddenly calm.  
 
Even in Mecca and Madina, rain was falling at the time that coincided with Mawlana's soul leaving his body. Later that afternoon, everyone realized that even the sky was weeping for the loss of the world's great saint. It is a mercy [rahmah] from Allah that these rains were falling to show how much love Allah has for His saint.   
 
3- Despite numerous flights scheduled to land in Cyprus from all over the world each day, all the flights were overbooked and there were no seats available due to the great demand of Mawlana Shaykh´s students coming from around the world to pay their respects.
 
4- Many people witnessed an amazing incident during the burial of Mawlana Shaykh in his masjid in Lefke.  Men had dug a very large grave approximately 4 meters [12 feet] in length.  Four people stood in the grave to place Mawlana Shaykh´s holy body inside.  As they carried his beloved body down into the grave it was weightless, as if carrying a feather. When they laid his holy body down, miraculously his body had become long enough to fill the grave from one end to the other! His head was touching one end and his feet touching the other, which measured over 4 meters. This was to show all of those present that Mawlana was inheriting from the prophetic tradition of being a stature and size exceeding normal human beings.  Never has anyone seen during a burial that a body would stretch so his grave is almost insufficient. Perhaps if we were to expand his grave to 10 meters Mawlana´s body might stretch to fill it. That was a tremendous indication that he truly was the inheritor of Prophet Muhammad (s). 
 
5- Mawlana Shaykh Nazim had earned the love and respect of so many world leaders, royal families, and great personalities that his home and masjid were filled with esteemed dignitaries. Many newspapers and television stations around the world covered Mawlana Shaykh´s burial live and spoke about his great life of promoting religious pluralism and respect, condemning terrorism and extremism, and extending his hands to the members of every faith. He even had the chance to embrace Pope Benedict XVI on the occasion of his visit to Cyprus in 2010. This is an important sign that Allah honored him both in dunya and in akhira. 
 
During his life, Mawlana Shaykh appeared many times on TV around the world. From his childhood Mawlana Shaykh´s way was to encourage open communication and friendly relations with everyone, even those who differ in opinion. He always sought cooperation with others to benefit humanity and to create a more peaceful world. Before he left this temporal world, he planted in the hearts of his followers and in the hearts of countless human beings that love and compassion for which he was so famous so they could carry his legacy forward.
 
Mawlana Shaykh established countless centers, in nearly every nation of the world, in which they teach mindfulness, chanting therapy and other educational programs that promote peace, love and happiness. He rejected all forms of extremism and radicalism, and embodied the Prophet's (s) teaching that "we [i.e. Muslims] are a moderate Nation".
 
Today is Dhikr day, the first Thursday after the burial. Please take this opportunity to share these incidents and other memories you have of our beloved Shaykh with others, especially with those who may not have had the pleasure of knowing him.    
 
It is also important to remember when you are making dua and when making Dhikr, make sure to connect your heart to those whom you love - Allah swt, His Prophet (s), His Awliya. Don't listen to gossip or people causing confusion, but keep your focus on the beloved ones and remember them.
 
On behalf of Sufilive, the Islamic Supreme Council of America, and our many affiliated organizations around the world, we encourage everyone to follow in Mawlana´s footsteps, and implement his teachings of love, peace, acceptance and brotherhood/sisterhood of humanity.
