Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and the Manhattan Solid
Waste Advisory Board have launched a grant program offering up to $750
for small-scale community composing initiatives. Funds can be used to
purchase equipment, tools and materials to start or expand
neighborhood composting programs in Manhattan. Applications are due by
