Ghosts, Ghouls, and Worms: Halloween Composting

Join the NYC Compost Project in Manhattan to make biodegradable
Halloween decorations, as well as learn how to compost the decorations
after the holiday with red wiggler worms. Class will cover worm
anatomy and lifecycle as well as the process of decomposition.
Participants will be able to decorate and take home their own pumpkin.
Participants are welcome to attend in costume, and all project
materials will be provided.
Open to children age 5 and over accompanied by parents. Attendance fee
$5.

The NYC Compost Project in Manhattan provides this workshop to help
school teachers set up worm bins in their classrooms. The workshop -
open only to teachers - will cover worm bin setup and maintenance,
troubleshooting, and how to incorporate composting into your lesson
plans. Worms and worm bins will be available for purchase at a reduced
cost. Attendance fee $5.
