How can I draw a line that is perfectly straight? I tried holding down
shift, option, control, etc when doodling but it does not work.

So, I don't know of a way to draw a perfectly straight line. It sounds like a great idea. The best way to get it implemented is to look at the Issues list . File a new Issue for the suggestion you have (if it's not already there).

One potential workaround is to draw a veeeeery thin rectangle.
