Stopped loading files to create templates

Hello,

     I used this successfully to make 3 different templates this morning, loading 300 dpi jpg files as the images. Then I went to lunch, came back, and the window that allows you to set the number of rows & columns and align the dots won't come up anymore. I restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled FormScanner 1.1.4 and 1.1.3, and nothing works.

      I'm baffled. Can anyone help me here?

Make sure the file: C:\Program Files (x86)\FormScanner_1.1.4\config\formscanner.properties is being deleted when you uninstall the program. Also work with PNG files, not JPGs.

Same thing just happened to me.  Formscanner won't bring up the window for creating a template after I select the file...  I tried .jpg and .png 300 dpi files in black and white.

Tried uninstalling and re-installing and confirming the properties file was deleted.

HELP?!?!?!

I have no idea what you mean by "compiling" the version at that link.  I am using a laptop running window 10. 

Can you give me more specifics?
