Hi folks,

I've tried marchof's fork of FormScanner, and I can get it to build and launch, but I'm having issues using it.

When I try to "Create a template from image", the image gets loaded sideways (with a 90 degree rotation), even though the file itself is in the right orientation. I've tried setting the green box but then the red dots don't seem to line up to anything. Am I supposed to do some pre-processing (e.g. rotate it 90 degrees in the other direction) prior to loading it? Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks!

BTW, a small update here...

The issues I described in my last email were when trying FormScanner on pictures taken with my phone. After getting pictures from a proper scanner, it works better (whereas it didn't work at all previously). I am not getting perfect accuracy. Some selected answers failed to be recognized. 12 / 840 answers were not recognized properly, and more than half the scanned forms had issues (the rest had none). I'll instruct students to write down their answers in a darker tone, and I'll see if that helps next time...

Anyway, thanks for the project!
