Hello Everyone,
I am very new to Formr and I am considering using it for a daily diary study where we'd want to administer participants a fixed number of questions 3 times a day for 10 days.

I was able to set-up a draft run, but there are several points on which I'd nee help:
  •  what is the default procedure to enroll new participants in a daily diary study: just sharing the link of the run with them or something else?
  • I have verified that if I  (or a test participant) does not fill in the questionnaire for example in the morning, then receives no further emails and questionnaires. Is there a way to change this setting?
  • How can I set-up the duration of daily diary data collection to 10 days?
  • if I go to "Log of user activity", in Skip Backward modules I get a warning saying "Your R code is not returning True/False. Please fix your code soon." what does this mean and how could I fix it?
Thank you very much, I should also specifiy that I have set up the run on the regular formr interface and not using R scripts.

Hi Emanuela,

Please find some responses below. Please also refer to the example here, most of your questions should be answered there: https://github.com/rubenarslan/formr.org/wiki/How-to-create-a-simple-diary-study

Best wishes,
Kai

  •  what is the default procedure to enroll new participants in a daily diary study: just sharing the link of the run with them or something else?
Yes, that is the default way, same for all studies

  • I have verified that if I  (or a test participant) does not fill in the questionnaire for example in the morning, then receives no further emails and questionnaires. Is there a way to change this setting?
yes, see the expiry options (under Survey -> Settings) and also Wait-time modules.

  • How can I set-up the duration of daily diary data collection to 10 days?
You can refer to the ‘created’ varibale in the first survey they complete, or you remove participants if they have taken part 30 times.

  • if I go to "Log of user activity", in Skip Backward modules I get a warning saying "Your R code is not returning True/False. Please fix your code soon." what does this mean and how could I fix it?
The R-Code in the Skip-Units should return TRUE or FALSE, so you need to specify some condition that returns TRUE or FALSE.

Thank you very much, I should also specifiy that I have set up the run on the regular formr interface and not using R scripts.
