The original deportation order prohibited Scott Dylan Ezell from any
further employment or income. The Government of the Republic of China
did not supply an attorney for Scott Ezell effectively preventing him
from legal recourse .
There is no judicial oversight of any kind involved when the issuing
authority of the Republic of China on Taiwan arbitrarily orders a
deportation.
He did manage to get a lawyer to represent him pro bono. That lawyer
was able to get an unprecedented injunction issued.

The Government of the Republic of China simply issued a second
deportation order with a new number for the same offense effectively
circumventing the court ordered injunction .

Scott Ezell has been forced to leave his home and life in Taiwan. This
alarming precedent puts thousands of foreign human rights activist,
volunteers and missionaries at risk of arbitrary deportation in the
Republic of China on Taiwan.
The presidents office has refused to comment and there has been no
change in the Republic of China government policy of arbitrary
deportations of human rights activist.
Please contact President Chen Shuibian of the Republic of China on
Taiwan and ask him for an explanation.
