Setting Language in Cascading

Hi all
I am trying to set a multiple language in my XLS form which also has a sheet on cascades. However I am failing to set the language in the cascade page and when i upload my form the cascading variables become empty. I have passed through all the given examples and none of it addresses the problem, any idea on how to go about it
