When I have a form with the time question type and the "duration" box checked, FormEmailer will bring that through as:

Requested Date(Q): 10/1/2014 12:00:00 AM
Event Start Time(R): 12/30/1899 5:00:00 PM
Event End Time(S): 12/30/1899 7:00:00 PM
Set up time(T): 12/30/1899 12:05:00 AM
Take down time(U): 12/30/1899 12:05:00 AM

The duration values are showing up fine in the spreadsheet, but when they come through FormEmailer, they are all times of the day on 12/30/1899.

I've had to go back to a regular text box for now, but might there be any way that can be fixed manually or in a new release?

Thanks!
-Billy

Hi Billy,

This is the expected behavior, it's because both "pure dates" or "pure time" values are actually just "datetime" values that the spreadsheet formats differently (i.e. just how its shown, which you can change arbirarily without actually changing the cell value/content).

Trying to get the format the spreadsheet uses is difficult and unreliable, that's why I allow the users to set the format in their settings, by passing a formatting parameter along with the placeholder in the settings. Please take a look here to consult the available formats: https://sites.google.com/site/formemailer/formatting

Henrique Abreu
