I was hoping a new feature could be added. I like that I can receive an email when a submission is made but what I'd like to do is respond to the submission with content of my own. I think that if I modify the email settings to do this it will not send the first email that I have received a submission. Any body know a workaround for this? Or would it be possible to add a second "Response Email" tab/settings in the settings menu for the script? That would be wonderful! Thank you.

This is simple.
Create 3 new columns, labelling one email, one second email and the other comments.
Write an if/then to populate the email address in the email field if the comments field in not blank. Set up a second email in the settings with the #second email# tag in the to field.

Once you write your comments process the line manually.

The other email column would be populated opposite from the second email and would replace the email tag in your first email 'to' field. This would prevent sending the first email twice.

I have it set up so I can reply to the email that FormEmailer sends me and have my reply sent to the person who completed the submission. It looks like a regular email conversation. I don't have to go to the response spreadsheet to enter anything.

In the settings, add a "reply to" field. You will need to ask in the form for an email. Use that email as a placeholder in the "reply to" field.

But, there is a catch. The Google account you use to set up the FormEmailer script can NOT be the same Google account that you have FormEmailer send the submission email to. Henrique explained why in an earlier post.

My workaround was to create another Google account that I use to set up the FormEmailer script on the response spreadsheet.

Example:
My main Google account is someon...@gmail.com. I can use that to create the form and create the response spreadsheet but NOT install the FormEmailer script. I share the response spreadsheet with my second Google account someones...@gmail.com. I open the response spreadsheet with my second Google account and install and set up the FromEmailer script. Any changes you want to make in the future to the script settings you need to use that second Google account.

In the "to" field, the script will send my main Google account the submission. When I open up that email I can click on reply and the correct address (the person who completed the submission) will appear in the "reply to" field.

I wrote up a blog post for other teachers who wanted to do something similar.

In my form I already have an email column. Are the two email columns you mentioned in addition to this email column? Also, what would be written in the settings though to send the second email with my comments in the comments column? In the past I have rewritten the format in the settings so that when I processed the script manually it would send my comments to the students but then I never received an email saying that some one had submitted a form response.
