Hi community,

I want to add a form to my website that has two numeric inputs, does some calculations, and spits back some crunched numbers to the person who submitted the form.  Of the options I've found for this, formemailer seems like it would work the best, although if someone knew of a script that would give crunched number outputs in the form submit confirmation page that would be even better for my purposes.

Anyway, every time I make a form and install FormEmailer, it will work for the first few form submissions and report Email Sent in the leftmost column that Formemailer adds to the data feedback sheet.  Those first few emails work pretty much just right except for a few formatting errors.  Whether or not I try to fix those format errors, after a few more form submissions, formemailer replys with Email Not Sent in that column, and it never sends the emails.

I have the timedriven--every minute and also an OnFormSubmit triggers installed--is this my problem?

Any ideas?

Hi,

FormEmailer only set "Email Not Sent" in the status cell of a row if it processed that row to submit emails but got found no recipient address list to send the email to. Your "To" field in your FormEmailer email settings is probably a placeholder that is not getting filled correctly by you, or your users, or our custom formula.

Anyway, you should not set both triggers. And the recommended setting for this version is to use only the time-driven one, like described in the FormEmailer sheet and help pages. I don't know why you'd do any different from the recommendation if you're not sure of what you're doing and, specially, if you're having problems.

At last, Google Forms does not seem to be a good fit for this "crunching numbers" use-case. You probably should do it in a javascript more customized for you site.

Regards,

Henrique Abreu
