Probleme with "html" emails (Atlassian/Jira ticket)

Hello,

I would first like to thank everybody for this wonderful script very understandable.

My problem is about the html email which is sent :

I tried to send automatic email to my gmail address and it works perfectly, it recognizes the html tags...

But my initial need was, at the end, to send an email to an address which create automatically a ticket in our Jira client (https://www.atlassian.com/fr/software/jira/).

And, while Jira is supposed to support Html emails, the ticket content is only :

html


So what is going wrong ?

Hi Arnaud,

The problem is that when you choose the HTML option on FormEmailer, it uses the htmlBody part of the email and just writes "html" on the plain text part (meaning: hey! look at the html body).
Please try unchecking the html checkbox on your FormEmailer email settings, that will instruct FormEmailer to place your email body on the plain text field, which seems to be what your Jira client reads. Note that you don't actually need to remove your html tags, but a strict email client will just show them plainly instead of rendering. If you're only sending the email to your Jira client, that will not be an issue. If you're sending it to others though, I suggest you separate the emails and send one (html check) to everyone else, and one (html uncheck) to your Jira client.

The problem comes from Atlassian/Jira, not your script. I'm trying to fix it.
