Is it possible to install fa.jquery under Python 3?

It wants to install simplejson-2.5.0, which gives syntax errors under
python 3.

Could this dependency problem be easily fixed, given that simplejson
is in the standard library as json?

No. FormAlchemy itself is not compatible with python3. The major issue
here is that webhelper is not py3 compatible. I saw recently that some
people are working on it.
