Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways! You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently. Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! ...

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone. I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws (Ezekiel 36:26-27).

For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12-13).

So if I have a critical heart, what kinds of words are going to come out? Critical words. If I have a mean-spirited heart, what kinds of words are going to come out of my mouth? Mean words, unkind words.

I am working on detecting pulse rate in iOS. I have done some search and now I am able to read heart beats using external bluetooth device which is capable of reading heart beats. But now I am ver curious about detecting pulse using iPhone camera. I am trying to understand How it can be done? What is actual theory behind that? Can any one have an idea behind this?

According to my search I found that I need to use camera in video mode. And I need to compare each frames from that video for colour changes. When our heart pumps blood into our body, colours are changed with every pump. So how will I get that colour change using camera or is there any other way to do this?

Studies have shown that our heart rate measurements are within 3 bpm of a clinical pulse oximeter when performed at rest in a well-lit environment (Poh et al., Opt. Express 2010; Poh et al., IEEE Trans Biomed Eng 2011).

You'll probably need some sophisticated equipment to record your results like a real heart rate measure machine so you can compare the RGB (in 255,255,255 triplets values) between different frames at different heart rate and also you have to make sure you're sitting in about the same exact environment with controlled lighting.

Cardiac (123)I-metaiodobenzylguanidine ((123)I-MIBG) uptake is reduced in chronic heart failure, and its reduction is reported to relate to the decrease in exercise capacity. Reduced (123)I-MIBG uptake may predict an inadequately reduced adrenergic drive to the heart during cardiac sympathetic stimulation, including exercise. However, there is little information about the relationship between cardiac (123)I-MIBG uptake at rest and norepinephrine (NE) release during exercise in relation to the exercise capacity in the failing heart. The aim of this study was to examine whether cardiac (123)I-MIBG uptake at rest can predict cardiac sympathetic activity during exercise in patients with chronic heart failure. We determined how cardiac (123)I-MIBG uptake at rest relates to NE overflow from the heart during symptom-limited graded exercise in such patients.

Methods: Twelve patients (mean +/- SD, 52 +/- 12 y) with chronic stable heart failure performed symptom-limited graded exercise tests under catheterizations with a 4-min stage using a supine bicycle ergometer within 2 wk after (123)I-MIBG imaging. NE concentrations in the arterial and coronary sinus blood (NE(A) and NE(CS), respectively) were measured at each exercise stage, and NE overflow was approximated by the difference between NE(CS) and NE(A) (NE(CS-A)).

Conclusion: Cardiac (123)I-MIBG uptake of the delayed image can predict the degree of the increase in adrenergic drive to the heart during sympathetic stimuli induced by exercise in patients with chronic heart failure.

I'm trying to develop an app that reasons on heart rate data. I have a Samsung Gear S and I would like to get a continuous heart rate stream from the watchto my app on my phone. I did a lot of research about this but didn't findwhat I was looking for. Therefore I've got some questions.

What I learned is that the Gear S only measures your heart rate when you are working out. So in order to get continuous heart monitoring, you should start a workout. Should I therefore write my own app on the Gear S that measures your heart rate? And if so, is this possible with the Standalone or Companion type SDK ( )?

I've also read that you can use the remote sensor SDK ( -sensor) but that it only allows to get the user activity, pedometer data and the state whether the user wears wearable device. Can you also get the heart rate?

You should write your own wearable app to measure continous heart rate, and the app need to communicate with Android host app via SAP(Samsung Accessory Protocol) so that your Andorid host app to be able to get coutinous heart rate data from a wearable device. So the app type should be companion type.

Background: Pulmonary overflow (PO) is one of the most common complications in congenital heart disease (CHD) children with an incidence of 48-60% approximately. This study explored the feasibility of using lung ultrasound (LUS) to assess pulmonary overcirculation in CHD children and compare the diagnostic performance of LUS and chest radiography (CXR) for the detection of pulmonary overcirculation.

With tearfilled eyes, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the beautiful, heaven sent gift. Words can not express my gratitude for the angel, card and generous gift I just received. I certainly don't deserve it and my heart is overflowing with gratitude and thankfulness. I am humbled and blessed to think that a group of anonymous, none of which are just "ordinary," women loves me enough to do such an incredibly selfless and thoughtful act. I wish I could personally thank and hug each of you for your love, generosity and prayers for me, and my husband, Jim. Your thoughtfulness and prayers must be due to the health struggles he has faced for so many years and the news we just received regarding his health. Although faith assures us that God is with us always, even in the darkest of valleys, and that he holds our future, and knows what is best for all of us, the worry and uncertainty can still be a lonely place, at times. Jim and I are both richly blessed and grateful for our Christian family and friends, who have always loved us, even me, when I'm not very lovable, and stood by us through all the bright and dark times in our lifes, and we dearly love and cherish all of them. They are bright, shining examples of God's love, as are all of you, and, I'm not mentioning names, but I bet some of you are part of this Christian group of 12 Ordinary Women.

Thank you again for your prayers, love, support and this incredible gift. I was listening to Dr. Charles Stanley, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta, this morning, and he was talking about experiencing God's love during one of his struggles, and he discussed the time he felt as if he had been literally hugged by God, that he could feel God's loving arms around him, and that he's never forgotten the experience. He went on to explain that we all know God loves us, but to feel the strong presence of God's warm embrace is truly special. I feel God's embrace now, and felt it when I received your heartfelt gift today, and I will never forget that feeling and this blessing!

Can you imagine if a new CHUMP starts using the site and doesn't understand what "burninate" means? Although the linked post will bring him or her to meta.stackoverflow, a site used by those who have spent enough time on the main site to form opinions about how it's operated, you're expecting him or her to either use a search engine or the site's own searchbox to learn what's meant by "burninate". This is an unfair expectation that new users spend time reading before participating.

Our definition of goodness is a heart that reflects the excellent character of God. Grab a mirror and a dry erase marker and paper towel. Let the kids look at their reflection in the mirror. What do they see? Now have them think of some of the things they sometimes put into their hearts that are not good. Write those things all over the mirror. Now look at the reflection. What do they see? Can they see themselves clearly or reflect a true image with all of those things in the way? Take the mirror and wipe off everything they wrote. Explain to your kids that only God can wipe away all of the sin and bad things so they can once again see themselves as God sees them and reflect His excellent character to others!

Thank God for pouring out His goodness on you. Ask Him to help you put good things into your heart so that good things will flow out. Thank Him for always loving you and being willing to forgive when you come to Him.

God is first and foremost concerned with our hearts. In the Bible, Christlikeness begins with the transforming of our hearts to be more like him. Overflow unpacks 10 topics that are in the very heart of God: favour, friendship, healing, mercy, compassion, generosity, kindness, anger, justice and welcome.

2. Intro: Professor Inside Out is an eccentric science professor who has a passion for overflow. She introduces the topic, stating the key point, providing a one-sentence explanation, and wondering how the everyday object is relevant. She ends with the Overflow prayer, which consists of a science experiment (trying to create a bigger overflow each week) and an invitation for the Holy Spirit to come and overflow into our hearts, changing us from the inside out.

9. The response: PRAY is an opportunity for God to transform hearts on the inside as we respond to the topic through prayer. An idea to help the children talk and listen to God is included. This time can also be an opportunity for God to meet and transform hearts through praise and worship. The Overflow playlist provides song ideas that reflect the themes unpacked.
