Dear Friends and Family,

I want to remind you of the project I informed you
of a few weeks ago in Thienel, Mauritania (West
Africa). This project will build a market and
community center in a small Pulaar village, located
on the Senegal River, in Mauritania, where I have been
living and working as a Peace Corps Volunteer.

Villagers have stressed the importance of a facility
such as this, to build community, centralize
activities, and empower individuals. Currently,
nothing like it exists in Thienel. The youth lacks
the means to pursue their potential, the elders have
few opportunities to share their wisdom, and the
workforce has almost no opportunity to maximize their
skills. So far, almost a quarter of the funds have
been raised towards our goal of $6800. But there is
still a long way to go.

I want to thank those who have already donated what
they could to this project, and encourage others to
take this opportunity to contribute. Giving is easy,
and can be done online or through regular post. All
donations are 100% tax deductible, and go directly
to the Peace Corps Volunteer's project. Please visit
https://www.peacecorps.gov/resources/donors/contribute/projdetail.cfm?projdesc=682-090&region=africa
for more information about my project and how to
donate. I
sincerely thank you for your efforts.

Take care,
Haley Harguth
