Day 01 (20/05/12):Arrival At cochin Intl Airport/ Railway Station. Meet and greet by Lawson Holidays representative. Proceed to the Munnar. The drive would take approximately 4 hours.

One of the most popular hill stations in India, Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located at 1600 Mts above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. Munnar is essentially a tea town. The tea plantations have now been taken over by the Tata Tea Company. The visitor is greeted with miles and miles of unending tea plantations on entry into Munnar. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji a flower which bathes the hills in blue colour once in twelve years. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India - Anamudi - which towers over 2695 Mts.

Day 02(21/05/12): After break fast proceed for sightseeing.

The Mattupetty lake and dam, just a short distance from the farm, is a very beautiful picnic spot. The sprawling Kundala tea plantations and the Kundala Lake are other attractions in the vicinity. DTPC Idukki provides boating facilities on the Mattupetty Dam. Speed Launch and slow speed motor boats are available on hire. Echo point: This scenic place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. Echo point is on the way to Top Station from Munnar. Pothamedu offers an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. Devikulam: This idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna and the cool mountain air is a rare experience. Rajamala: The natural habitat of the Niligiri tahr, Rajamala is 2695 Mts above sea level. Half the world's population of the rare mountain goat or tahr which is fast becoming extinct is now found here.




Day 03(22/05/12):   After   the  breakfast    check out from  the  hotel and  Proceed  to  thekkady . Over night stay at Thekkady

About Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary

Set high in the ranges of the Western Ghats, in God’s Own Country, Kerala, is the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. Periyar wildlife sanctuary has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary. Formed with the building of a dam in 1895, this reservoir meanders around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a permanent source of water for the local wildlife. Though its a Tiger Reserve, tourists come here to view the Indian elephants in the act of ablution and playfulness by the Periyar lake.

Major Wildlife Attractions in Periyar National Park

Apart from Elephants, the other animals to be seen in the Periyar sanctuary are Gaur, Wild Pigs, Sambar, Barking Deer, Mouse Deer, Dole or Indian Wild Dog and very rarely, a Tiger. There are, now, an estimated 40 tigers here. Four species of primates are found at Periyar - the rare lion-tailed macaque, the Nilgiri Langur, Common Langurnd Bonnet Macaque. Periyar also happens to be the habitat of the elusive Nilgiri Tahr, which is rarely to be seen. The birdlife comprises of Darters, Cormorants, Kingfishers, the greatMalabar Hornbill and racket-tailed Drongoes. The reptilian population boasts Of Monitor Lizards that can be spotted basking in the sun, on the rocks along the lakeshore. Visitors who trek into the Periyar national park often see a Python and sometimes even a King Cobra. In the lap of the mountains, the Periyar wildlife sanctuaries environ is like a canvas of many shades.

Day 04(23/05/2012): After  the  breakfast    check out from  the  hotel and  Proceed  to  Alleppey . Over night stay at Alleppey

 

Alleppey or Alappuzha's beauty is not merely in its backwaters, but in the man-made islands that you will find amidst the waters.  These islands are hedged by mud walls, a haven for migratory birds, with paddy fields inundated with water throughout the year.  These fields stand below sea level.  R Block is especially famous for the fresh toddy served to guests.  Alleppey is also known as the Venice of the East. Enjoy an evening walk in the villages

Day05(24/05/12):  After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Kovalam. Over night stay at Kovalam

Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees. The crescent-shaped beach has three parts. The southern most beaches, and the most popular, is light house beach. It offers an amazing sight of Vizhinjam mosque. The northern Samudra is a laidback one and time seems stands still here. The middle, hawah, in the early day, is a beehive of activities with fishermen setting out for sea. With a high rock promontory and a calm bay of blue waters, this beach paradise

Exclusions:

Entrances at sightseeing places/Check post

Any international/Domestic Airfare or Train fare.

Camera fee wherever levied

Payments:-

50% of the total package cost should be paid as advance for the confirmation of the package and the balance should be 3 working days before commencing the package.

Anything which will not confirm through package will cost extra.

The company does not entertain payment through credit cards.

Cancellation

Once the bookings are confirmed 50% of the amount paid (in advance) will be refunded if the cancellation is informed before 7 days.

25% of the amount paid will be refunded if the cancellation is informed before 3 days.
