While many EA hosting providers are becoming available each day, most
still have a restriction of installing extra components beyond the
Metatrader EX4 file.
This leaves the trader to one of two options.
1. Use their home PC with broadband internet and a UPS on the PC,
Modem and Router and hoping the connection doesn't drop for any
reason.
2. Buy their own 1U rack mount server, confirgure for Forex Raptor
Freeware and then rent rack space at a data center.
The second option is the best choice and is what I use for my auto-
trading with Forex Raptor Freeware. The two data centers with I use
are
www.colopronto.com and
www.waveform.net
You can buy a DL360 1U server with memory and hard disk from eBay
(sometimes with Windows already installed). Then install a version of
Windows 2000 or higher with Forex Raptor Freeware, Metatrader and the
additional components. Save the box that the eBay seller shipped your
unit and reused to shipped to the chosen data center.
If you need an extra copy of Windows, you should be able to obtain a
copy from eBay or Torrent. Windows 2000 requires the .Net 2.0 version
of Forex Raptor Freeware. Metatrader 4 works on Windows 2000.
Anyone else hosting their copy of Forex Raptor Freeware?
