Benchmark Brent crude futures dipped more than a dollar to $49.92 per barrel just before 3. a.m. Eastern Time, hitting levels last witnessed in May 2009, though prices surged back above $50 later. http://www.fxpips.com/oil-update-brent-crude-falls-50-first-time-since-2009/
