[MT_E and I] question for all EA users

Hello,   I have been trying to create an EA and had good help from a kind soul on this board.   However, the impression I get from others as well as rumours is that no matter if you have an EA or not, the brokers will eventually get you somehow. We have all heard of platform freezes, spikes, wrong execution or no execution, and lately there was also an accusation against one of the brokers for improperiety against an account, so the question begs, what's the point of an EA at all?   If we manage to create an EA which supposedly nets X pips a day consistently, what guarantee is there that when the account becomes sizeable the broker will not do everything to mess things up for us?  After all, they are all dealing desks and that would mean taking profits from them.  As for my provider, I currently have a demo with ODL and even grilled them about such accusations, but sometimes I wonder if we are fighting an uphill battle.   Any thoughts?   Al
