Four-day Intensive Training Course on

Environmental Impact Assessment from 30^th May - 2^nd June, 2013

 

The Institute of Environmental Professionals Sri Lanka (IEPSL) has organized a 4 day residential Intensive training course on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) from 30^th May - 2^nd June, 2013 in Agriculture Department’s In-service Training Center, Angunakolapelessa, Hambantota.

 

EIA is a process of identifying, predicting, evaluating and mitigating the biophysical, social, and other relevant effects of development proposals prior to major decisions being taken and commitments made. It requires decision makers to account for environmental values in their decisions and to justify those decisions in light of detailed environmental studies and public comments on the potential environmental impacts of the proposal. This course is planned with much needed extensive field work component in the  rapidly developing  Hambantota.

 

The course fee is Rs. 35,000 per person. As the places are limited, it would be most appreciated if your nominations receive the secretariat of the Institute on or before 15^th May, 2013.
