=================
With the springlike weather starting, I realize it’s time for me to send out a quick message.  We have a lot going on here in Round Rock with our water programs!!

  1. Go N Grow Plant Box sale going on now thru April 1st, or until supplies last.  These boxes will sell out, so please, order early if you’d like one (or more)!
    1. Boxes contain 24 plants.
    2. Boxes are $80 each.
    3. Two themes to choose from: Texas Tough Native Landscape and Home Harvest Edible Garden (you can purchase more than one)
    4. More details can be found here or at this link: Go N Grow: Landscaping in Box Sale - City of Round Rock (roundrocktexas.gov)

  1. Rain Barrel sale going on now thru March 25th.
    1. Barrels are 50-gallon capacity
    2. Barrels are $77.50 each (there’s no limit on how many you can order).
    3. More details can be found here or at this link: Rain Barrel Sale - City of Round Rock (roundrocktexas.gov)

  1. Warmer weather means more time spent outdoors.  Please remember that Stage 1 Water Restrictions are still in effect.  While the winter rains were wonderful, they did not impact our lake levels.  The lakes are still low, which means restrictions are needed.
    1. Stage 1 allows watering with an automatic irrigation system or hose end sprinkler no more than 2 day per week; however watering by hand is permitted any time, any day.
    2. Find out all the details on the City’s website here or at the following link:  www.roundrocktexas.gov/conservation

  1. The city wants to help you save water!  Our Customer Water Portal now has additional features to take advantage of.
    1. View your hourly, daily, and monthly water use.  You can also download your water use information.
    2. You can also sign up to receive a text or email if a water leak or continuous water flow (over 24 hours) is registering on your water meter.
    3. You can set up water budgets and receive an alert if your water use exceeds the budget.
    4. Learn more and sign up (if not already) at www.roundrocktexas.gov/paymybill

And lastly,

  1. Rebates are available for specific water-saving activities or devices.
    1. Find the City rebates here: www.roundrocktexas.gov/rebates
    2. City water customers and Round Rock MUD water customers are also eligible for the water rebates the LCRA offers.  Find those at www.lcra.org/water/watersmart

Please let me know if you have questions regarding any of this.  Again, I apologize if you’re receiving this in duplicate or are no longer in Round Rock.

Sincerely,

Jessica Woods, LI 8763
