Status of public comments

Greetings,

As you know the public comment period closed yesterday.  The comment has been voluminous and rather than burdening your inbox with files I am going to ask DCR to get them up on the website ASAP. I am hoping that all the comments received by email will go up by close of business Wednesday, as will a few portions of the forum information. Thursday or Friday the remainder are likely to go up of the forum comments and the survey results.  The email comments will be grouped chronologically.

As you will see when you view email comments, contact information of senders of email comments and people cc’d is redacted. We are having to do this because we received complaints in response to early postings that people were going online and culling email addresses and sending unsolicited emails. Comments received by US mail are being scanned.

Please take the time to review the comments these. In recent days we have received a high volume of form letters by US mail. Rather than duplicating each one we will list the people who signed the same letter along with a copy of the letter.

MODR staff is also working diligently to do brief summaries of the results of the various forms of public input.  I will send along links as soon as I have them as items are posted.
