TSC Meeting

Thanks, Bill. This schedule certainly works for me. Could I suggest that we get an agenda of outstanding issues in advance so that we can focus our efforts on the 8th? What do you think of the suggestion that I made to Lisa that we form pairs each with an assignment of one or two of the unresolved issues and distribute  our recommendations to the group a few days in advance and present them at the meeting? Careful selection of teams could lead to some very constructive outcomes. The two need not agree. They just need to frame the issue and if possible make a recommendation to the TSC.

One thought that I have had is that we should characterize the woodlands as a zone in which ecosystem services are actively managed. Among these are delivery of wood products (not dominant as stated in the report). Whereas the reserves deliver ecosystem services without active management and for which wood products are not a service.

We are busily compiling comments from the forums and written submissions. Lisa, Tom, Loraine and I will be making some calls to get at a way of focusing the discussion for the meeting.
