The message below went out from Lisa a little while ago. The entire document is attached. You can also download just the executive summary or the recs without the annexes at http://www.mass.gov/dcr/news/publicmeetings/tsc_draft_recommendations.htm

Emails will be going out from DCR and other EEA agencies and MODR. The cover let sets out several ways to participate.

Subject: vision draft to be released

Members of the TSC,

We have completed the latest set of draft recommendations and will release these later this afternoon.  The attached document also includes a memo that explains these materials and invites members of the public to provide input in a variety of ways.  Please note that both the cover memo and the draft recognize and highlight that there are still areas where we have not reached consensus and/or where members of the AGS have voiced disagreement with the proposed recommendations.   Thus, while we will be glad for any input, we will be especially grateful for input on these outstanding issues.

We will now move to the feedback stage, and I would like to encourage all of you to attend several of the forums.  I’ll be in touch in the next several days to see if we can coordinate our attendance to make sure that we’re able to listen first hand to what people have to say.

A technical note: I’ve been told that Mac users should open this document directly with Adobe Reader.  This will enable you to see all of the pieces.

Best to all,

Lisa

Bill has the format for the forums been settled upon then?  It looks like it is still “facilitated discussions” in tabled groups?

There continues to be staunch opposition to “breakout groups” and only limited enthusiasm from a few for the idea.

The public should have the opportunity to “be heard”, not feel “herded”.
