Just a note, that I've requested a JIRA task for setting up foresite in the Maven Central repository attached is a patch for you to use on your pom.xml

Foresite is a JISC funded project which aims to produce a demonstrator and test of the OAI-ORE standard by creating Resource Maps of journals and their contents held in JSTOR, and delivering them as ATOM documents via the SWORD interface to DSpace. DSpace will ingest these resource maps, and convert them into repository items which reference content which continues to reside in JSTOR. The Python library is being used to generate the resource maps from JSTOR and the Java library is being used to provide all the ingest, transformation and dissemination support required in DSpace.

Please also add Richard Jones (richardjones) to the project as well.

Also see (https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/OSSRH-2157) these are two separate projects with different overlapping committership, thus we are seeking to setup separate management of each.

The account setup is complete in oss.sonatype.com.  I can now complete Maven releases to the repository.  Perhaps we can discuss the next steps in the process for everyone to understand.

1.) Sonatype attempts to assure that content going into the Central Repositories adheres to certain best practices. They are trying to improve the quality of the Repository by requiring the following:

a.) source and javadoc artifacts are released for every binary jar artifact released to the central repo.
b.) releases are gpg signed to assure an authenticity of the packages deployed.
c.) certain standards are required for the contents of the POM. We will review these details during the release process.

I've done a snapshot deployment which does not require commit rights on the svn repository.  Commit rights on the repository will be required if I do a more formal release. Snapshots do not end up in central repository.  Here is the current snapshot path.

Cheers,
Mark
