Hi -

A quick question for the project maintainers:

Are you currently hosting a definitive maven repository for the
foresite code, or is the Google Code Subversion repository the only
location for accessing artifacts?

If the answer is the latter, have you thought about using something
like the Wagon SVN Maven plugin as described here:
http://www.jroller.com/mrdon/entry/find_of_the_day_wagon ?

I'd be interested in adding a foresite dependency to a project pom,
and thought I'd ask before pursuing an independent Maven repo.

Thanks much,
Chris

And just as a follow up, although I can add the foresite project as a
Maven project locally on my machine, I'm looking at this from a larger
project perspective where we have multiple developers, an automated
hourly build system, etc. that rely on particular Maven projects. If
the foresite project were a registered project with the Central Maven
Repository, we'd be able to add it to our dependencies.

Thanks again,
Chris

I'll leave it up to Richard to talk about the java side of the
project, but my understanding is that it's not being actively
developed.
If you set up a world readable Maven repository, let us know and we
can advertise it on the google code home page.

Thanks!

Rob

Hey guys, We are dialoging about getting foresite into the Maven
Central Repo via the same mechanism we use for DSpace (The Sonatype
OSS Nexus Deployer) https://oss.sonatype.org. I've volunteered to
help you get this setup with Richard Jones. This would provide you
with a snapshot repository and a release of your modules into Maven
central.

Cheers,
Mark

Mark,

That's great, thanks for working on it.

Hi Mark, Richard,

A minor but important patch was made to the foresite-java 1.0 snapshot, correcting an issue where the modified timestamp had an incorrect type reference and format. Without the change, the generated rdf-xml does not validate when types are being checked.

The update should be pushed to Sonatype using the usual "mvn clean deploy" mechanism by a maintainer. I'm hoping that you might be able to do this so that the change can be picked up by our (and other) projects using the Foresite library.

It seems that the library may also be close to, if not ready for the 1.0 release, but perhaps that's another discussion.

thanks,
  Dave V.
