boot failure with root=LABEL=/
------------------------------

Key: FL-2899
URL: https://issues.foresightlinux.org/jira/browse/FL-2899
Project: Foresight Linux
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Everyone can see this issue)
Components: Base Operating System
Environment: search group-world=foresight.rpath.org@fl:2-qa/2.5.3+2013.03.30-0.1-1
install group-core

Reporter: Michael K. Johnson
Assignee: António Meireles [aka doniphon]
Priority: Critical

I built fresh images with flimage, and tried to boot them. The boot stops with:
{noformat}
fsck.ext4: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/disk/vy-label/\\x2f

Dropping to debug shell.
{noformat}

With the model provided in Environment, the following command creates an image that reproduces the problem:
{noformat}
flimage -s 2000 --sparse -d d -m testmodel -t rawHd -b testmodel
{noformat}

Michael K. Johnson commented on FL-2899:
----------------------------------------

Removing libata-migrate doesn't fix the problem. I tried:
{noformat}
search group-world=foresight.rpath.org@fl:2-qa/2.5.3+2013.03.30-0.1-1
install group-core
erase libata-migrate
{noformat}

...and I get the same problem.

eMBee commented on FL-2899:
---------------------------

i didn't get this problem when using flimage a few months ago, but instead i got it when installing from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/foresightlinux/files/fl%402-qa/2.5.3%2B2013.03.30/group-gnome-dist-x86_64/foresight-2.5.3+2013.03.30-x86_64-dvd1.iso
while using a custom partitioning without LVM (nothing special, just /, /var and maybe /boot)
using the default LVM (with my custom layout) worked fine.
