The first Viber version for linux is now available for you to help us test it and release it.
Installation instructions
To install Viber for Linux follow these instructions.
1. Download the "Viber.zip" archive file.
2. Extract the Viber folder from the .zip archive.
3. Copy the Viber folder to your "Home" folder.
4. Open Terminal and enter the path of the Viber Folder.
5. Run the following command to launch Viber Desktop client: ./Viber.sh
The terminal must remain open when launching Viber for the first time. Closing the client will not terminate the terminal.
*We tested Viber for Linux on the following: Ubuntu, Mint, Zorin OS and Fedora.
http://download.cdn.viber.com/cdn/desktop/Linux/Viber.zip
tried to launch it locally and getting errors like:
./Viber: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.14' not found (required by ./Viber)
Possible to make a package of it and do some workaround for glibc issue?
