When folding the laptop screen, the computer does not go to suspend anymore. I think this happened after the latest kernel update. The dmesg error is

A manuel suspend is still possible.

something in /var/log/messages too?
what notebook is it?
Does it happen with all 3.10.x kernel?
Do have a 3.10 kernel from reloaded.foresightlinux.org installed? Does that one have issues too?
Does it still work when booting into 3.4.x kernel?

Hi Mark,
- it is a message I read in dmesg when reopening the lid after noticing the computer does not go into suspend
- I haven't checked /var/log/messages, but I will paste here the output of it
- The notebook is a Dell Latitude e6430
- Yes, it happened with 3.10.43-1-1 and 3.10.41-1-1
- I haven't tried to reboot with reloaded.rpath.org@kernel:latest/3.10.17-1-1 since I switched back to 2-devel-kernel but I can do so if that's helpful
- I never had the issue with the 3.4.* kernels

trying reloaded 3.10.x kernel could be helpfull. (especially if it works with the reloaded kernel)

The suspend works fine with kernel=/reloaded.rpath.org@kernel:latest/3.10.17-1-1
I also note that the above kern.err<3> is not repeated with this kernel.

I did a kernel bump once more. Groups are building. I doubt it will fix your issue, but can you try when groups are in?
I guess I need a patch from reloaded kernel or maybe it's a skript that relies on 2.6 fake version.
Can you try 'sudo dmesg -n8' before closing the lid and see if that is more verbose?
dmesg -n changes the loglevel default is 4 I think so after the test you can set it back with dmesg -n4

not the biggest problem right now anyway - and it still works 'manually'. I just have to remember it before leaving, and not when I wonder what's so glowing hot in my bag :)
