connections and disconnections with WPA2 Enterprise wifi
--------------------------------------------------------
Key: FL-2930
URL:
https://issues.foresightlinux.org/jira/browse/FL-2930
Project: Foresight Linux
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Everyone can see this issue)
Environment: Qualcomm Atheros AR9462 Wireless Network Adapter, FL2-QA on an intel i7 laptop
Reporter: Berg
Assignee: Distro
Still having issues when using WPA2 Enterprise wifi but it's not specific to FL I think given the large amount of hits I get when searching for linux/WPA2 compatibility. I see that the most recent Fedora releases are also plagued by it (e.g.
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=703612 I'm not sure I understand the workaround of comment 6). Basically connecting is random and long, disconnects are frequent, and then the login/passwd are requested over and over again by NetworkManager. It's plagueing me occasionnaly (like this week now where the WPA2 Ent is the only one accessible), and I see that the windows and iOS devices have no trouble with this - my own workaround is to connect to the WPA2 with my android cell phone and then tether over usb to the laptop! I created this issue with low priority because I will not always be able to check how well eventual upcoming fixes will work, and will post here whatever I will find next time I get the problem again.
