I'm checking out instantbird as a replacement for empathy but have an issue:

I googled it around, but a firefox-related solved issue involving xulrunner did not help in this case.

To use 1.1, we need to get newer xulrunner. atleast 7.0

testing around instantbird and see if we can get later version in anyway somehow.

I installed instantbird from their linux package, and it seems to work fine with the current xulrunner=1.9.2.22-1-1

the cook would install gcc-4.4.7-20120601which is the same version as currently installed on fl:2-devel so that will probably not help. On my way to compile gcc from the source code..
