why is this here Its been 4.26 FOREVER

and never updates itself from ANY SERVER

It decides every so often to throw that page up as an advertisement. There was an about:config option that you could change so it wouldn't do that, but damned If I know what it is now. That was three computers ago I'm certain. And that was Firefox, wouldn't apply to Chrome or Edge.

and last time it was broken for monthes    then it fixed itself  BUT  it was still 4.26
