anyway i found this   " Google wants to make extensions safer by prioritizing privacy, but was initially criticized for the impact to ad blockers. The Chrome team has since added new features in response and is ready to disable old Manifest V2 extensions in 2024.

and this  l existing extensions will need to be migrated to V3 by June 2024 to continue working. Beginning June 2024, Chrome will gradually disable Manifest V2 extensions running in the browser. Upgrading to V3 involves changes to the manifest file, background scripts,

its june so ya i guess its over    so unless he writes it for  v3  its done

I believe the deadline was June 18 when Google shut off support for Manifest v2.  v3 is going to limit what extensions can do so there will be a lot that cannot be updated to v3.  Firefox has said they have no plans to move to v3.
