Headlines this morning read that futures were down with traders
waiting on the FOMC minutes on Wednesday. Yet the DJIA futures at
this hour are presented as UP 11 pts (higher than earlier) and the S&P
are shown as dead even.
While no shares of F have traded yet, the range shows as $15.07 bid
and $15.11 ask.
Methinks it might be a FINE day.
My early numbers for the day (which might be revised before the open)
are:
O: $15.11
H: $15.27
L: $15.02
C: $15.23

I still have my long equity position in F. A week ago I sold my shares that were margin financed. I was suffering from sellers remorse, so I put in a buy order last night @ $14.92. Just back from an early breakfast meeting and happy to see my order hit. I should be able to get back in the daily game tomorrow. With Ford down more that the market, I think this dip is just temporary - Ford still has more legs to come.

Does this dip have a reason, or is this a 'limited time only' sale on Ford shares?

notsorich, this maybe a correction. But I will buy back in soon if it goes down even more.

Sorry for not responding sooner, but I was out doin' other things.

To address your question ~ I see NO substantive reason for a dip of
this magnitude. Do NOT see it as the beginning of a correction (that
will come when the DJIA approaches 17,000! Believe it to be a "one-
time special" - the blue light is revolving!

I think it depends on timing (how soon the DJIA hits 17,000). F will
be lower if it reached too fast ~ we need time for it to be clear that
Europe is on the way BACK.
My very rough guess is $18.00+!!

17,000.
To address the question of why I think it is likely that this run will
continue UNTIL the DJIA approaches 17,000 ~ the answer is simple ~ I
am using another person's prediction. Someone that I BELIEVE is a
heck of a lot smarter than me.
Is it gospel, hell, NO.
But it does suggest, as I do believe, that this run has some very
substantial legs - definitely!
As to the particulars, someone better at technical analysis than I am
would have to tell ya!
