Due to the opening in Fall 2013 of a new elementary school, CISD is
considering some rezoning in our Oak Ridge feeder zone that may
involve Ford, Birnham Woods and Broadway Elementaries. There are 4
scenarios currently up for consideration, but others could emerge as
the community meetings & zoning meetings progress. Some of the
scenarios involve changes in neighborhoods that attend Ford, while
some make little or no changes to Ford's attendance zone. These
scenarios are currently on the CISD website (Zoning of New School) and
are available for you to view. Ford Elementary will host 2 Community
Forums this Thursday at 12:00 noon and 7:00 pm. Anyone is invited to
attend these forums to ask questions and express your opinion to the
rezoning committee.
