Fundraiser Kicks Off Tomorrow - Sept. 7th

A few important announcements for this week:

1. Our Cookie Dough fundraiser kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 7th.
You may get the packets home on Tuesdays in your child's folder.
Official kickoff party will be on Wednesday during a general
assembly. We need your help to make this fundraiser successful! Our
goal is to purchase new playground equipment, and to improve the
existing equipment. This is a very expensive project, so we need
everyone to participate in the fundraiser.

2. Our first general meetings took place last week, and we were
excited to see some new faces. We look forward to getting to know
many more parents as we work together to make Ford Elementary a great
school for our kids.

3. Our Volunteer Tea is scheduled for Friday, September 9th at 1:30
pm. If you would like to find out more about the PTO or to see how
you can get involved, volunteer, or just be "in the know", please join
us! We have several activities planned for the coming year, and we
need lots of help to make it happen.

4. Grandparents Day luncheons are scheduled for Friday, September 9th
and Monday, September 12th. If your child's grandparent would like to
eat lunch with them at school, please contact the school to fill out
the necessary RSVP form. Forms should come home today in Tuesday
folders, and can also be picked up at the front office.

5. Keep collecting those Box Tops! We will soon have bins out in
hallways for collection, and we have some great incentive prizes this
year for participation! Be sure to send them in a plastic baggie,
with your child's name, grade and class info on it.

6. Did you know that the PTO has a facebook page? If you are on
