Turns out this is a bit circumstantial. Donald Mustard, de facto head of Fortnite, is real life friends with Brandon Sanderson, and approached him about getting characters from his books into the game. That resulted in the Kelsier skin we see above, and could mean more in the future.
Sanderson took to reddit to explain all this, admitting that he knows there may not be a ton of crossover between Mistborn fans and Fortnite players, but he enjoyed working with Epic on this all the same, and process to make the Kelsier skin took five months.

Eminem, the stage name of Marshall Mathers, has been in Fortnite's shop since November 29 when he was released at 19:00 ET on that Wednesday and has proven popular considering the game went on to release two more skins of the "8 Mile" star.
There are three kinds of Eminem skin titled, "Rap Boy", "Marshal Never More" and "Classic Slim Shady" which are references to his outfits and personas that he has developed throughout his incredibly successful career as a musician.
He also comes with an emote (animation) called "Mask Up" that sees the character pull a fiery mask over his face to revolutionize his look on screen. So after years of wanting him in the game, he is finally available but the crucially he departs today! Snap him up whilst you still can.
But he doesn't stop there, not even a new universe halts Eminem. Fans who attend the live concert titled "The Big Bang" on December 2 will unlock a "Marshall Magma" skin as a bonus and a thank you from the developers.
The cost of the Eminem items, which will never return to the Fortnite shop, ranges between 200 V-Bucks (in-game currency) and 1500 V-Bucks as he has eight customizable items that he can be paired up with to give fans their chance to show personality and expression.
One of the greatest animes of all time, Avatar: The Last Airbender is having somewhat of a revival, with a live-action remake hitting Netflix in February 2024, and an as-yet-untitled movie revival coming set for 2025. Alongside all of that, Airbender hit Fortnite with her own Battle Pass quests and a new Waterbendinng move.
One of the more recent skins to secure a place in our Fortnite best skins list is Mizuki from Chapter 4 Season 2. Part of the River Guard set, Mizuki was unlockable at tier 100 alongside a deadly fan made of knives, a fancy winged glider, and neon orb back bling. Chapter 4 Season 2 was the MEGA season in Fortnite inspired by Japan, futurism, and sci-fi, which all played a part in crafting this excellent skin.
Omega changed the game, quite literally. For Omega, Epic Games introduced something a little different for the first time: a progressive skin. Alongside Carbide, released in the same season, players were given the ability to evolve a skin by leveling up and completing challenges outside of just unlocking them. Stage by stage, the Omega skin transforms into full battle gear, but you can wear him however you want.
Adorning the plague doctor attire with medicinal equipment hung around its belt, the Plague skin is a great combination of creepy, sneaky, and historical. The Plague skin was reportedly shelved during the pandemic, disappearing between Jan 2020 and Jan 2023, but now returning more frequently to the item shop. Its beaked mask and long cape will hopefully ward off any more diseases.
Another popular progressive for our list and a piece of true Fortnite nostalgia from season 5 is Drift. Layer by foxy layer, Drift transforms from a quiff mohawk vest-wearing muscle man (akin to Johnny Bravo) into a fully masked, long neon gold coat-wearing fox-looking skin. With multiple styles and an early battle pass unlock, it gave players a chance to aim for something with 200,000 XP needed to get the full skin.
When Fortnite released the Naruto skins, they meant business. The Fortnite x Naruto collab was a big deal, and a bundle of Naruto skins was available to buy from the item shop in one lovely set for 19,300 V-Bucks. You could get them separately, though, as well as a bunch of nostalgic cosmetics, including a Demon Wind Shuriken back bling and some spicy Kunai pickaxes. Naruto lovers descend.
The Fort Knights of Fortnite, like Black Knight on our list, also brought players the female counterpart, Red Knight. The menacing outfit is one of those OG skins that was once run by the long-time, sweaty players of yore. But you can grab it in the item shop these days.
Like Master Chief, the Gaming Legends series also brought out the iconic Street Fighter set, introduced across a fair few chapters and bringing some of the top-tier Street Fighter characters to the world of Fortnite. Ryu and the built-in Shoryuken! Emote, Chun-Li laying down the law with her lightning kicks, and multi-styled Cammy and her camo attire. A great set for Capcom fans.
Calamity is another progressive skin that goes through a total transformation. From a simple vest and shorts skin to a full leather black look with neon accents, players can choose which stage they run with (depending if they unlocked it all in Chapter 1: Season 6). The classic llama farmer evolves into a badass skin with a bunch of colorways.
Clad in sturdy and rustic chains, Black Knight is a popular outfit in Fortnite. However, nobody knows how the soldier looks since he always covers his face with a solid metal helmet. Black Knight is one of the OG skins, which is why those smart enough to cop it cash out every opportunity to flex the rare item.
In February 2019, Epic did the unthinkable and rolled out a giant yellow banana as an outfit. It was ridiculous, but it worked; the 2019 Fortnite banana fever was proof. Peely was a massive success, urging the devs to release the Agent Peely skin, which turns golden at Level 300. Players dressed in hilarious golden bananas still stand out in Fortnite games crammed with superhero skins.
Galaxy was the ultimate Holy Grail for skin collectors. The outfit was fashioned on a green screen lit up with an actual galaxy, making it a class apart. Glittering in stars and space, this chart-topping skin is now like gold dust in Fortnite.
Availability: The following Star Wars skins were last available in the item shop starting May 2, 2023, but are now unavailable. Here are all the Star Wars skins, their base price, and when they were introduced.
Last in the shop as of Chapter 4 Season 3, this selection of DC Superhero and villain skins is perfect for fans of those comics. Sadly, those who like Superman probably missed the free giveaway a few years ago, but there are still plenty of other skins for other DC characters. Here are all the currently available ones:
If you want to kick shiny metal ass in style, look no further than these Futurama Fortnite skins. They use the same Matt Groening art style as the animated sitcom, and each comes with a back bling. Fry has the Hypnotoad, Leela has Nibbler, and Bender has Ben Rodrguez. In addition, there is a gear bundle with the Planet Express ship glider, several pickaxe variations, and the Zoidberg Scuttle emote (which is frankly terrifying).
Those are all the best Fortnite skins. Do check back frequently as more cool skins will be available soon, and highly sought-after ones may return after a long hiatus. In the meantime, check out the latest changes to the Fortnite map and Fortnite weapons list as of the latest update.
Epic Games first launched its Jujutsu Kaisen crossover in 2023 as part of Chapter 4 Season 3. In celebration of the anime's second season, Gojo, Megumi, Yuji, and Nobara were added to the game. They all came with their own signature Pickaxe and Back Bling as well. To get the cosmetics, you had to complete Break the Curse event quests.
The Jujutsu Kaisen cosmetics returned for a limited time during Winterfest 2023. Then, Fortnite saw all the skins come back last month. This time around, they were available for purchase in the in-game Item Shop.
Trusted leaker Shiina took to Twitter to share some interesting anime news previously announced by LeakySussed. If the leak is to be believed, it looks like Wave 2 of the collaboration is in the works.
If Leaky is to be believed, there will be something called a Skin Cup in Chapter 5 Season 2. Other leakers have also confirmed this possibility, with iFire Monkey claiming that there will be five community cup events in Season 2:
Players are already speculating which new Jujutsu characters will be released into the battle royale. Guesses include Maki, Inumaki, Jogo, Panda, Sukuna, Geto, and Kenjaku. There is clearly a lot to work with so fans are definitely starting to obsess over the possibilities. Only time will tell if Epic will confirm this exciting rumor.
Star Wars has had a significant presence in Fortnite for a long time, and that presence continues to grow rapidly--this May the 4th marks the start of the biggest Fortnite x Star Wars event we've seen so far, with a new Star Wars-focused Lego Pass for Lego Fortnite, a new car for Rocket Racing, new instruments and the Cantina Band jam track for Festival, and four new skins and their associated cosmetics for battle royale and the rest of the Fortnite ecosystem. That's an outrageous amount of new stuff. So let's take a look.
