EASTER EGG HUNT ADDED TO MAKE PEACE DAY

This Sunday March 24th, the Mountain View Arkansas Peace Pole Project will host Make Peace Day at City Park in Mountain View from noon until 4pm.

An Easter Egg Hunt with peace sign Easter Eggs has been added to our full lineup of already scheduled activities.

Starting at noon we will have a Potluck. All are invited, please bring your favorite dish to share. At 1:00 the Easter Egg Hunt will begin at the front of City Park in the fenced area next to the playground equipment. An area will be designated for children from 1-3 years old. Easter baskets for gathering eggs will be provided and each child participating will receive a Peace sign sticker to take home.

Other children's activities include painting of pet rocks and Peace sign rocks. Making of colorful painted egg carton crowns, and a ring toss for prizes.

While the children are being entertained adults can take an Herbal Identification walk with herbalist Laura McNerney of Melbourne, get a chair massage from licensed Massage Therapists Cynthia Cox or Dora Gonzalez or spend some time in the Drum Circle learning to make interesting rythmns on hand drums. Drums and percussion instruments will be provided.

At the end of the day we will all take part in a City Park Cleanup and all trash along the stream, park and roadside will be picked up and disposed of properly.

This Make Peace Day is a fundraiser for the purpose of building a Peace Pole monument somewhere in Mountain View to be dedicated on Septemeber 21, 2013 which is International Day of Peace. There will be an information table at the park with photos of Peace Poles from all over the world. You can also take home a beautiful Peace sign necklace, button or bumper sticker for a donation. Cash donations will be appreciated for all activities. Please join us for a fun day for the entire family.
