Never fear, Spring WILL BE HERE in just 17 days...YAY!

And Mountain View is starting to show signs of the arrival of Spring and not just with the daffodils blooming...
this weekend the 8 & 9th is the kick-off to our season with the Bluegrass Festival at the Ozark Folk Center!

Then the following weekend is St. Patrick's Day and our friend Charlie Mink and his band Celtic Breeze will be playing 'Celtic in the Caverns" at Blanchard Springs. Tickets to this event are still available and if Saturday sells out they will also have a show on Sunday the 17th.
Tom and I have not been to a concert in the caverns although we've heard folks rave about them but we really hope to this year...we are definately going if a Sunday concert is held.
Call the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce and BUY YOUR TICKET NOW!

You might have heard talk about the Mountain View Arkansas Peace Pole Project which now has a new parent name..... Stone County Art Projects. With our 1st art project being the creating of a Peace Pole somewhere in downtown Mountain View.
Our next general council meeting is schduled for March 10th to be held at the AmVet building on W. Main St.
Call us here at For Mother Earth 870-269-5535 for more information on time and location if you would like to take part in this fun Peace Project.

Our 1st fundraisier will be held Sunday, March 24th at City Park in Mountain View from 12:00-4:00.
MAKE PEACE DAY will be a fun family day to enjoy the outdoors.
We will have a potluck, a drum circle, chair massage, a park cleanup, children's activities, herbal identification trail walks, face painting, and tons of FUN!
Please plan on being there, bring the whole family and enjoy the spectacular beauty of City Park with it's creek, waterfalls and rock amphitheater. All activities will be by donation, so have a massage, take an informative walk to learn about native herbs, get a peace sign necklace, bring a dish to share and help us to create a beautiful PEACE MONUMENT for all to enjoy.

We have other fundraisers in the planning stages and we would LOVE to have your ideas brought to our meetings. So come to the Sunday meeting on the 10th and to the MAKE PEACE DAY at City Park on the 24th!

If you haven't been to For Mother Earth in Mountain View lately you are in for a treat!

Our expanded store includes a full size organized USED BOOKSTORE....A clothing store for men, women, children and babies, a specialty food section with all of your hemp favorites along with EastWind nut butters and Beekman 1802 products, plus local honey!
A musical section with drums, shakers, rain sticks and the NEW McNally STRUMSTICKS! You gotta see and play these, they are not only beautiful, unusual and fun, but anyone can learn to play them!
Of course we still carry Bead, Charms, twine, natural body care products, EastWind Rope Sandals, and tons of other fun hippie, Fair Trade and natural items.

So plan a trip to Mountain View soon...there are dozens of other places to shop for antiques, clothing, musical instruments, fudge, art and lots of cafes to enjoy lunch or dinner.
We hope to see you again SOON!
