Hi all! Welcome to Spring! Norbert Pink will be leading a plant rescue
this Sunday, here's the information. Please contact him directly for
more information: Norbert Pink 703-264-7445 <norber...@aol.com>

I am planning a plant rescue scouting event at Vienna Metro West site
(close to Fairfax Circle). This is area where we have been before last
summer. This area is a neighborhood where the 50 or more houses have
been removed and site development for a new residential and business
development has just started. Apparently, the development has been
delayed and we have an opportunity to gain access for a unknown amount
of time. More information on this development, location, site plan
can be seen at http://metrowestva.com/.

We don't know what plants are out yet, or how much damage has been
done to the vegetation, but that is a purpose of this event to assess
the area. Do wear sturdy boots as your footing can sometimes be
uncertain and it will probably be wet. Bring work gloves, shovels,
clippers, and containers if you have them as we can collect what
plants are available.

You need to sign a release form available at the site or via email
before you access the site. Please RSVP by 6pm Sat if you plan on
coming to this event. Please be at the gate at 9 AM to gain access as
the gate will be closed after we enter the site. If you are late
please call Norbert on his cell phone 314-724-8842 to get access.
