Hi all, I just found this forum and am looking for guidance. A few days ago I was astounded to see a much-needed feature appear on my home screen called "Continue Watching." It amazed me because my sister and I were recently talking about how that feature would make things so much easier! We both forget from night to night which streaming service we were using the previous night and then must test each individual channel's "continue watching" feature. Very irritating. So it was a great QoL upgrade, but then the next night it had disappeared! I almost wondered if I dreamed it but no, because I took a picture of it. I am not sure how I disabled it and can't find it in any of the settings . Has anyone else seen it and/or knows how to toggle it off and on? TIA.
Aha, thanks so much for that info. I believe I have that feature hidden from my home screen because it wasn't useful for me. Tonight when I'm ready to watch I will poke around in there and see what I can find. Thanks again!

Netflix generates awesome shows and movies that can be watched on your TV, Smart TVs, PlayStation, Xbox, and so on, and even available to watch instantly or download for later on phone/tablet. As the biggest American entertainment provider of Internet streaming media and video-on-demand online and DVD by mail, NetFlix attracts an increasingly growing number of worldwide customers to download the software in order to watch the most recently released TV shows and movies anytime and anywhere that is totally personalized for you.
"Hi, my NetFlix account was stolen at some point by such an idiot, and all the profiles were deleted! The good news is that the account has been recovered, new password and email back to normal, but all the extensive lists in the profile disappeared. How can NetFlix users recover profiles?"
"Somehow I found all the viewing history were missing from NetFlix, and this the third time to see this happening. I didn't wipe the history. So why did NetFlix delete my viewing history? How do I get the history back?"
What does a Netflix profile mean and include? A profile allows you to have your own personalized Netflix experience. Each profile has its own email, language preference, personalized TV show and movie suggestions, playback settings, my list, ratings, and most importantly, recently watched list, namely the watch history.
When you accidentally deleted your Netflix profile or the profile disappeared unexpectedly, can you get back all the content in the profile? You may think you can recover the Netflix profile using a data recovery tool. That's not true. Why? The Netflix profile is stored on its server not on your computer hard drive. While data recovery software only helps to recover files from storage devices like your computer hard drive and conventional storage devices like USB drives and memory cards. Thus, using a data recovery tool will help to recover deleted videos but cannot restore your Netflix profile.
We know how annoying it is to lose your personal profile and the viewing history there because so far there is no NetFlix recovery tool available. If you're seeing an autonomous deletion of profile and history by NetFlix itself, this is usually an issue with NetFlix remote servers or timeout issues. Do some refreshes. If it's persistent, try to log in all the way out and log in back again.
Or else, the only attempt to solve the profile problem is to contact NetFlix customer support, who works day and night to overcome the problems and come up with unique solutions. To the delight of users, they can reach NetFlix customer support to recover deleted NetFlix profile or their full history via the following three channels.
Besides, NetFlix offers a toll-free number in order to solve customers' problems instantly. There will be professionals who have ample experiences to resolve most of the NetFlix issues on the other side of the telephone, and they're happy to give you a hand.
Not satisfied with both of the official help? There is another good place to go to. It's NetFlix forums, where you can understand the most commonly seen issues that happened to customers and how did they finally work out.
However, once you execute a false deletion or formatting the computer drive, the videos on your computer are also be exposed to this danger. To recover videos or any other file types lost due to deletion, formatting, or other reasons from your computer, reliable free data recovery software - EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard will help.
Although the chance to recover deleted Netflix profile is slim, the success rate of retrieving lost files from a storage device is high. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is an all-in-one file recovery software that enables you to recover all types of files such as videos, music, audio, documents, pictures, and emails with a few simple clicks. Anyway, someday when you are troubled by data loss issues, don't hesitate to download this software, which supports both Windows OS and Mac OS and will rescue your data immediately.
So, I was looking at why the only programmes that were appearing in my Continue Watching (CW) Rail were Netflix titles and thought I would have a poke around the Sky site for some guidance. FYI, I have Sky Stream.
After I had joined Sky, I started seeing some titles I had been watching appear initially in my CW Rail. Nothing untoward there. But then, when logging into my account on their website, I went into the area regarding what information Sky via my TV was collecting etc. and what I didn't want to share. Without really reading properly I admit, I turned of all the buttons to basically share nothing and to not have targeted adds etc.
A day or two after this, unsure of timings exactly as I wasn't really expecting much change on the UI itself, I noticed that the CW Rail emptied and indeed, disappeared altogether. Wasn't really an issue as hadn't had the service for very long and assumed that maybe it was a software thing, glitchy etc, ya know, the usual. Then recently we had the software update that advised that Netflix titles would now be included in the CW Rail to easily continue with. After this update, I had just noticed that only Netflix titles would ever appear on the CW Rail.
Over the last couple of days I wanted to get to the bottom of why only those titles would be included when other stuff I watch was never appearing in it. After perusing the Sky help pages, I came across a page titled 'Personalisation features on Sky Glass and Sky Stream' here: -on-sky-glass-and-sky-stream
The long and short of this article is, if you opt out of personalisation on the website then this will mean you do not get specifc recommendations based on your viewing habits, but more relevant to what I was looking for and this post, the CW Rail will disappear completely and will not populate at all. And, all history shown before in there is lost, and not retained so even if you 'opt back in', the history of your CW Rail will not be restored.
It then of course goes on to say, that to turn the personalised recommendations back on, and for what I was looking for, the CW back on, the 'profiling' needs to be switched back on in the 'My Details' section. So, when logging in, I went to the drop down under my name and selected 'My Details'. Then Selected 'Manage Data & personalisation' under the 'Data & Personalisation' area. Then at the bottom of the list on the next page is a switch for 'Enaable Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling' under the 'Sky Glass Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling' section heading. I turned this switch back on, as previously stated, I had turned this one off, along with the others, without really reading what it does.
Now, around 10 hours later (probably takes time to filter through the tubes (technical term)), the CW Rail has now started showing other programmes I have started to watch and I can continue to play/watch.
So, from what I can gather, the following is true. When I turned this option off shortly after installing my Stream Pucks, my CW Rail disappeared, as per the instructions on the switch for this section that I turned off. But when the update enabled Netflix to populate the CW Rail, either this wasn't covered properly by my switching this option off, as the Netflix CW population update happened after, or it should be and this is a glitch.
1: If you have nothing showing in your CW Rail/it is not there at all, and you want it to be, go to the sections outlined above after logging in then once enough time has passed for this change to take effect on your account and Boxes/TV, then it will appear and start to populate.
2: If you have stuff in your CW rail that you do not want to be there, I say this as I have seen some posts where people have said the Rail has been populated with stuff they do not actually watch, then if you turn this switch off, and give it time to filter through the system and to your Boxes/TV, the rail will disappear BUT more importantly, the history of what was there will not be retained. So, if you did then switch it back on and then let this change filter throgh the system and to your Boxes/TV, then the rail will start populating with what you watch from that point onwards when it starts populating again, and the random items that you did not want in there will be gone as the data was not retained.
@Sky this issue has been prevalent for years! You really need to fix this! It's ruining the experience for us all! I'm paying a lot monthly and I expect a lot better for the money I'm paying! Apple have managed to do this exceptionally on AppleTV, why can't you?? Come on!
