I also experience a problem similar to the above user. I play multiplayer with a friend vs two CPUs. The game just crashes to desktop for both of us at the time of error with no error message. It is random. Sometimes it happens after a few minutes or sometimes longer like 20 minutes or so. Sometimes we can finish a whole game.

What I can say is the error appears to be an access violation and it seems to make both clients connected to the game crash. I also can say I have none of these types of errors logged BEFORE patch 35199 so it may be related to changes made in that update.

Hey just managed to get the crash dump file. You should probably alert people having issues that Windows does not generate crash dump files by default. You need to follow the instructions here to set them to generate.

Hi. I configured my Windows to use WinDbg as default debugger and caught the same crash during a multiplayer game. It is caused by a NULL pointer dereference, a memory access violation that terminates the program:

Multiplayer games will randomly crash to desktop without error or logs.
This happens to our entire clan so its not hardware or an isolated incident.
All of us have the same error on event viewer being 0xc0000005 - which is an access violation error.

Same thing happened to me and 2 of my friends while playing competitive. It happened for the first time but still. Fix it or start refunding people for having a game with so many bugs its unplayable. Btw the problem is not the computer(beastly computer), which seems to be your only solution for fixing the crashes. uploaded the log of the game.

I saw many people are angry because of this bug, I am too.
I downloaded the game few weeks ago and I was anxious of getting to play this old game I was use to play years ago, but the result is that it is not playable.

I bought Rainbow six siege through Uplay (Not STEAM) and installed it. Sadly I cannot play it as I get an error. (I also bought it first through Steam, gave it back as I had the same Error and thought it had to do with steam)

Hmm ... I'm not sure but maybe something to do with Windows it's self, and you may have to modify the Registry. But I'm not proficient enough with Windows to determine what the main cause is though. You scanned your disk drive and all that good stuff to check for any memory leaks, etc?

I would also check your Nvidia Control Panel settings (if you use a Nvidia GPU) and be sure you don't have anything that affects how the game performs (i.e. setting it to use maximum performance, etc). I had this error as well and this was one of the causes.

I've been sitting thinking about this since the thread went up since i had this issue when they introduced BE and i spent ages looking for a fix and found nothing. I eventually just uninstalled Siege and deleted the directory that is left behind and installed it on my SSD and it worked.
