 Parent's Nursery School in Palo Alto, California, is looking for a part time Assistant Teacher to join our teaching team twice a week. 

Who we are: Parents Nursery School is a cooperative nursery school whose mission is to create a stimulating, nurturing environment where children develop intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially while adults become better parents through education, observation, and community support. 

Schedule & Pay: 

 • Tuesdays + one additional weekday (flexible), 9:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. (~7 hrs/week) 

 • Hourly, non-exempt; $23.00–$28.00 DOE (meets/exceeds Palo Alto’s local minimum wage) 

 • Eligible for California paid sick leave per state law 

 Job Summary: 

 • Assist the lead teacher in supervising and engaging 2–6-year-olds in developmentally appropriate, play-based activities 

 • Build warm relationships; model co-op/parent-participation practices; help maintain a safe, inclusive environment; support and guide parent-teachers Minimum Qualifications: • 6 ECE units completed and active enrollment toward 12 units 

 • Pediatric CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain promptly) 

 • Strong communication, patience, adaptability, teamwork Preferred Qualifications: 

 • 6+ months classroom experience 

 • Familiarity with parent-participation preschool methodology
