Children’s Center Preschool Teacher Needed:
We are seeking a creative, positive and collaborative
teacher to join our play-based Pre-K teaching team. Our preschool
nurtures the whole child. We foster growth in social, emotional, physical,
and academic areas by offering hands-on and playful experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety –
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Social-Emotional
Development - Foster positive social interactions among the
children and guide them in learning empathy, cooperation, and conflict
resolution.
- Classroom
Management – Maintain a well-organized, clean and safe classroom
environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Establish
clear expectations and positive behavior reinforcement techniques.
- Curriculum
Planning & Implementation – Develop and implement a
curriculum based on child development principles that fosters learning
through play, exploration, ands social interaction.
- Parent
Communication – Maintain open communication with parents
regarding their child’s progress and development, as well as any concerns
or milestones. Write monthly newsletters to parents and monitor office
hours/class visitation in Google Docs.
- Instruction
– Facilitate age-appropriate and play-based lessons.
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Status: Part-time

Benefits include:
School is in session mid-August to early June, with time off
during standard school holidays and breaks. (Two weeks of summer fun camp in
June.)
Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience
(Range $30 - $32 per hour).
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
- Associate
or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or a related field
(preferred). Must have completed 12 core semester units in Early Childhood
Development; a teacher’s permit is preferred.
- Current
pediatric First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Possessing
excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills with both
children and adults.
- Ability
to multi-task and manage a busy classroom environment.
- Ability
to create play based and engaging lesson plans that are culturally
sensitive.
