I want to welcome some of the new members who recently joined this
list and also congratulate all of the officers who are doing such a
great job. After today's meeting, it is apparent to me that this
chapter is now strong enough to stand on its own without my help. The
group is able to write their own bylaws, develop their own minutes,
and find their own events. This is amazing since this group started
out about a year and half ago between just Elmer and myself.
For those of you who are not paid members, I encourage you to join ACM
International. This chapter only needs three more paid members to
become fully chartered. And once the chapter is chartered, ACM
International will send speakers to the club. There are many other
benefits of joining ACM as well -- such as discounts on books and
conferences, scholarship opportunities, and a chance to participate in
computing contests.
For those of you who are new to the club, you may join ACM

Effective today, I am resigning as co-chair. I have gone ahead and
given Eric Lo ownership rights in the four list that this chapter has
-- including events, chat, officers, and jobs. If you wish to
unsubscribe to those list, please contact Eric Lo, the webmaster.
