We are extremely excited about having all of you over to Madrid for the 2011 IE GrassRootSoccer Cup.

Our website (www.grscup.ie.edu) should be live by the end of today. We need each participant - player or guest - to register on here ASAP. In addition, there is lots of information about the tournament, Madrid, IE and GRS there. In case you cannot find what you are looking for, do not hesitate to email us at iegr...@ie.edu.

The main reason for this email is to update all of you about the payment situation. We had been working on the basis that we would have have an online payment platform which each player would be able to pay through. However, after extensive testing, the organizing committee was not satisfied with the security of the platform. As such, we have had to move to plan B:

• BANK DETAILS: We have set-up a bank account with Santander, the details of which are below:
• IBAN ES80 0049 1811 3521 1045 5274
• BIC: BSCHESMMXXX

• PRICING: We need the captains of each team to make a transfer to this account with the correct amount for your school's participation. Please remember that the pricing structure is as follows:
• Players: EUR50;
• Guests (non-players): EUR25;
• NB. Individuals who have registered as Guests will not be allowed to play in the football tournament.
  

• REFERENCE: When you are doing the transfer, please use the format below as the reference:
• IE GRS Cup_[Name of school]_[# of players]_[# of guests; e.g. IE GRS Cup_LBS_20_5;
• It is important that you do this so that we can track who has paid for what.

• DEADLINE: the deadline for payment is Wednesday 5th October; after this date, we will not accept new registrations or payments;

If any of this is unclear, please email me and I can explain further. As you know, we had envisioned a much more straightforward process, but sadly that is not going to be possible to implement.

Hi guys!

I have voluntereed to be the responsible for the IE tournament :-)

The Football Club will most probably take care of the tournament fees (yes!). I think this is a really good opportunity to enjoy our last tournament as 2nd years and share a great weekend in Madrid.

If we all finally agree to go we should have a meeting to confirm and check all the details (tickets, hotel, etc...). Since we are playing 11 aside on monday, we make the most of this and have our meeting right after the game, is that ok for all of those who showed interest in the tournament?

I hope to see you all (see list below) and whoever else wants to join (feel free to tell about it to first years and exchange fellas). It would be great if any of you volunteer to find a nice hotel deal.....any ideas?
