dMaintenance: eMail - SMTP Test

Quick question:

is the send email feature working in dMaintenance? (if it isn't not a big issue I can live with out it for a while)

if so is it a registered product feature?  but if it is a working feature in the unregistered version then I have cocked-up somewhere - for something so simple I should do in my sleep...

OK...Thanks will check it again tomorrow.. (I will be very glad when Xmas and New Yr are over)

I get an error when I select the Test SMTP - "Test Email Failed to Send"
 using a gmail account: sending to my domain email and my other gmail account - did try to only the domain-email and separatly to only the other gmail

Checked the account is accessable by setting it up with an email client on one of my test PC's and appears s&r is working ..
Same result with my default (gmail) account...  maybe it is a prob with the test machines antivirus (bullguard)...

I'll do a bit more checking before I bother with too many more questions..

Failed to report on the outcome of this issue:

Was using the wrong port:  Was using 587 instead of the correct 465..

One feel not so smart after something so simple..

And Now I note that D7 tells you the Port to use for GMail...   Thanks Nick, since I started to deploy dmaint thing have really been rolling

Just need an app to find me some time....  and a little extra time as well to test ideas with the apps..
